Matthew Planting

Matthew David Planting, 35, of Pine River, MN, passed away on April 15, 2024, in Minneapolis, MN.

Matthew was born on April 29, 1988, in Shakopee, MN. He graduated from Walker High School in 2006 and went on to work at the Pine River Area DAC. Matthew was very witty and kind and had a big heart; everyone who knew him loved being around him. Matthew enjoyed watching auto races and loved to spend time with his children.

Matthew is survived by his daughters, Lillian and Olivia Planting; parents, David Waltz and Denise Spagenske; brothers, Justin (Elise) Planting and Ryan (Amanda) Planting; nieces, Madeline and Kenna Planting; and nephew, Marshall Planting. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

A visitation will be held from 1pm-4pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Kline Funeral Home in Pine River.
