Master Sergeant Hillmer Parker

August 16, 1934 — December 4, 2020

Loving husband and father, Master Sergeant Hillmer A. Parker, Retired, born on 16 August 1934, passed away on 4 December.  He was born in Long Prairie to Reuben and Anna Parker.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1953, as a Mobility Air Force Warfare Systems craftsman, working on the C-35 and C-47 aircraft.  Serving tours around the world, he was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism during the Vietnam War.  While assigned to Preswick Air Station, Scotland, he met his beautiful wife, Isabel C. Anderson.  After retiring in 1975, he worked at Montgomery Wards, the Brainerd Dispatch, and Walmart in Baxter, Minnesota.  Hillmer is survived by his Scottish wife, Isabel C. Parker, and their children, Hillmer A. Parker, Jr., Colonel Jody A. Evans, Retired (Ron), Nancy Schlegel (David), and Lesley G. Parker.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son Bradley J. Parker, and his brother, Marlin Parker.
