Mary Nevin

Mary Jane Nevin, age 83, of Staples, passed away at the Lakewood Health System Hospital on Wednesday, January 20. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 23, at 11:00 am at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
Mary Jane (Snyder) Nevin was born in Carlisle, Penn. to Paul and Emma Snyder on June 8, 1926. On June17, 1945 she was united in marriage to Robert Thomas Nevin. They resided in Philadelphia until 1991 when Robert passed away. MaryJane moved to Minnesota in 2007 and lived in Staples.

MaryJane is survived by her children, Marylouise (Tom) Sturgill of Orlando, FL; Caroline (Ron) Teague of New Jersey; Kathleen (Ferris "Skeet") Altice of Virginia; Patricia (Darrell) Wilson of Minnesota; Robert Nevin Jr. of New Jersey; Paul Nevin of Minnesota, 29 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; siblings, Paul Franklin (Thelma) Snyder and Gayle Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nevin Sr; son, Thomas Nevin; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Kern; and sister, Dorothy Ocker.
