Mary Foster

Mary Jean Foster (Mackey) age 91 of Baxter, MN went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2026. She was born on December 5, 1934, in St. Paul, Minnesota to William and Verna Mackey. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, George C. Foster Jr., her sister Roseanne and her son Michael. She is survived by her children Brian (Julie), Alice (Lacey), Kim (Bob) and Jay (Mary), grandchildren Corey, Ryan (Erin), Cassie, Brandon (Julia), Sarah, Brad (Kelsie), Justin (Alyssa) and Emilie and great-grandchildren Nora, Belle and Elise.

Mary lived with her family in Bloomington, Minnesota. She was a busy homemaker and wonderful mom to five children. Weekend camping trips were a happy family memory. Upon their retirement, she and George lived in Florida for 20 years. They enjoyed the warm, sunny weather, social activities in their community, and many trips in their motor home. After George’s passing, Mary moved to Baxter, MN. She was an active member of her assisted living community. She enjoyed activities such as Bingo, cards and field trips to the surrounding area and watching her beloved Vikings, Twins, Wild and Gophers. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought special joy to her life. Visits from them were always a highlight for her.

A memorial service will take place on May 14, 2026, at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel 7348 Excelsior Rd. Baxter, MN 56425, Visitation will start at 10am. followed by a service at 11am and a Luncheon will be immediately followed. She is deeply missed by everybody, but always in our hearts.
