Daughter of James E. Gessell and Genevieve Gessell (Stylski).

Preceded in death by second Husband William (Bill) Felix, Father of children Joseph Reis, Brothers James (Jimmy) Gessell, Duane (Butch) Gessell, Gerald Gessell, Jerome (Romie) Gessell, Marlene Larson (Gessell), and Grandson Caleb Buzzell.

Survived by brother Patrick Gessell and sister Barbara (Bobbi) Pinckney (Gessell), children Theresa (Teri) Buzzell and Steven Reis and wife Julie, Grandmother to Charles (Charlie) and wife Luz Buzzell, Ceanna, Callen, and Chandler (Bing) Buzzell, and Cameo and Erik Reis, Great Grandmother to Cambrynn, Connor and Claire Buzzell.

Mary was born August 28th 1939 in Sobieski MN. She grew up in Little Falls raised by new Aunt and Uncle Winnifred (Winnie) and Edmund (Duck) Antone and attended North Dakota University. She lived in Spring Lake Park raising her children, worked at Honeywell Corp for 37 years. In 1988 married William (Bill) Felix for 27 Years. She retired with Bill from Honeywell, living near her daughter and grandchildren and loved spending time with them, traveling and enjoying day-to-day life. In her later years she lived with her family in Brainerd on the lake spending her days relaxing watching wildlife, reading and taking pontoon rides. She lived for the holidays and loved decorating, cooking, playing the lottery and dreaming of winning, and celebrating life in general. We had a wonderful life with her, she was a bright spot wherever she went with a great sense of humor and will always be loved and remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday June 26, 2024, at 7:00pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter. A visitation will be held starting at 4:00pm until the time of the service.
