Mary Engstrom

Mary Lee Engstrom, 78, of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, passed away on March 2, 2022.

Mrs. Engstrom was born on February 3, 1944, to Thomas and Nathalie Swann of Crosslake, Minnesota. She received a BS degree from Bemidji State University in History and Special Education. For many years, she assisted in the running of her parent’s department store in Crosslake, The Beachcombers. She married Richard Engstrom at the Swann home on May 30, 1974. They had two children.

Mary enjoyed reading, gardening, and a great love for animals. She is survived by her husband, Richard Engstrom of Pequot Lakes; daughter Sunnie (Chris) Hering and grandson Wyatt Hering of Bayport, Minnesota; son Dustin (Robert Blanco) Engstrom of Palm Desert, California; brother Anthony Swann of Bemidji, Minnesota; and sister Lisa Swann.

She is preceded in death by parents Thomas and Nathalie Swann.

No memorial service is planned at this time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Pequot Lakes.
