Marjorie Swift

Marjorie Swift, age 94, of Pine River, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River. She was born to Roy and Emma Rodrian on October 25, 1921, in Rock Falls, Iowa. During her senior year in 1939, Marjorie's family moved to Pine River where she met Roy Swift. They were married in 1945. During World War II Marjorie worked for Honeywell. She enjoyed cards, games, knitting and raised a beautiful flower and vegetable garden. Marjorie was a talented bowler and played basketball in high school. She loved to take road trips and spending winters in Apache Junction, AZ.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters: Pat Buttweiler (Tom) of St. Cloud, Cathy Stinson (Chuck) of Lake City; grandchildren: Adam Molitor (Michelle), Karli Molitor, Laurel Stinson, Dena Gable (Lee), Matt Stinson; and great grandson, Vincent Molitor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, two sisters and one brother.

Services will be 11 AM on Saturday, October 15, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
