Marilyn Maxine Hall, 93, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering love for those who knew her.
Marilyn was born on May 19, 1933, in Greely, Iowa, to Ernest and Edna (Lawrence) Gibbs. She grew up with strong family values that remained the foundation of her life.
On April 5, 1950, Marilyn married the love of her life, Lawrence Hall. Together they built a loving home and shared many years of marriage while raising their family.
Marilyn was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She spent 15 years working at Ernie's and more than 10 years at Williams Floral, where she was known for her friendly smile and strong work ethic.
Marilyn found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved putting together puzzles, baking cakes and cookies for those she loved, dancing, and crocheting beautiful handmade items. She was also a proud member of the Motley Garden Club for several years, where she enjoyed sharing her love of flowers, gardening, and friendship. She will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Family was the center of Marilyn's life. She is lovingly survived by her children, Blain Hall, Gordon (Nancy) Hall, and Sandra (Merle) Bryce; nine cherished grandchildren; many beloved great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Lawrence Hall; her daughter in law Rebecca Hall, her sister, Norma Prescott; her son, Bryan Hall; and her grandsons, Ryan Hall and Nathan Hall.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Chapel, Staples . A short prayer service and time of sharing will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Marilyn's memory will live on through the lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the many happy memories she created. She will be deeply missed and remembered lovingly.
