In Loving Memory of Margaret "Peggy" Menz/Sabraski
Margaret "Peggy" Sabraski, 84, of Brainerd, Minnesota, crossed over into the loving arms of Jesus on July 22, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.
Peggy was born in 1941 to Alfred and Margaret Menz. As the eldest of five children, she grew up surrounded by family and shared a close bond with her siblings: Jim, Joe, Jack, and Rosemary. In 1961, Peggy married Jerry Wiherski, and in 1962, she gave birth to her pride and joy, her son Mark. Later in life, she met and married Donald "Donny" Sabraski in 1985, happily blending their families and sharing many wonderful years together.
A positive beacon of light to everyone around her, Peggy was vibrant, social, and constantly on the move, embracing every stage of life with enthusiasm and joy. She was a true Minnesotan through and through, deeply in love with her life "up north." Some of her happiest moments were spent on the lake—her personal piece of heaven on earth—boating, fishing, cooking, and baking alongside Donny.
A woman of radiant grace, Peggy took great pride in looking her best, embodying true beauty both inside and out. Her heart extended to all of God's creatures, big and small. Whether she was showering love on her dog, keeping the local birds well-fed, or leaving out peanuts for the chipmunks. She was also a fiercely loyal Minnesota Vikings fan, cheering them on season after season.
Above all, Peggy was steadfast in her faith. She walked closely with the Lord and continually encouraged those around her to pray and experience the immense love of Jesus. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and joyful light will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Peggy will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend.
Peggy is survived by her son Mark Wiherski (Michele), her granddaughter Chelsea Lenchuk (Evgeny), her great grand children (Noah, Alivia, Adrian), her sister Rosemarie (Tim), her brother Jim (Ann), her brother Joe (Teresa); as well as many other relatives and close friends.
She is preceded into death by her husband Donald, her parents Alfred and Margaret, and her brother Jack.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 6, 2026 at 11:00am at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the start of the service.
