Marc Jordan peacefully went home to be with Jesus on December 5, 2023.
Marc was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a wonderful person to all those around him. He had a full and wonderful life. When he was not working around the auto industry, he was an avid fisherman and hunter. Being outside in nature was where he truly enjoyed being.
Marc was very involved in the auto industry throughout his career. He performed auto repossessions, autobody, retail sales and wholesale. At the times, he stepped out of the auto industry. He always found people that would be lifetime friends and more. At the young age of 21, he purchased a small bar called the Amber Lounge. This is where Marc and Kathy began their true-life love story. He was the owner and she waited on the patrons. It was the setting of a beautiful life together.
Marc’s love of the outdoors and fishing eventually brought him to Minnesota. Shortly after he arrived there, Kathy joined him and they were soon married. With a short stint in the Duluth area as partner of Don Bean Homes, Marc and Kathy welcomed their first son, Luke. After moving back to central Minnesota and rejoining the auto industry they welcomed their second son, David.
Marc was a very creative and talented woodworker. He specialized in handcrafted and painted redwood signs. Marc and Kathy’s decision to travel around selling wood signs eventually led to a full-time career and move to the Nisswa, MN area. This is where Marc and his family would settle in and become part of the community. As the opportunists that they are, the decision was made to purchase The Bier Stube, a small local bar in Nisswa. This is where Marc met many of his lifelong friends and a time where they welcomed their third son, Joey.
Marc slowly worked his way through the auto industry after this. He served as sales, sales leadership and ended his time wholesaling. All along the way he added to his group of lifelong friends.
Marc’s friends and family meant the world to him. He was the type of person that would do anything for anyone at any time. He enjoyed every moment with them and was so proud to be a great grandpa. One of the things he enjoyed the most was hunting season in the woods with his close friends, sons, and grandkids. This took place every year with the same group for 37 years.
Marc and Kathy had many hobbies. They traveled together, went boating, golfing and many other outdoor activities.
Over the years Marc was on the Clearwater Township council and was Nisswa Chamber president. He received many awards for sales achievements.
Marc is survived by his wife of 46 years; sons, Luke (Karla), David (Briana); and father figure to Mike (Sue); grandchildren: Kali, Kylee, Kaydi, Kavan, Ireland, Graham, Brayden, Sophia, Stella, Cordelia, Lucas; great grandson, Zander; brother, Dave (Lori); sisters, Colleen (Larry), Debbie (Mike); many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Joey; his parents, Dick and Betty Jordan; and his father-in-law, Orville Engelman.
There will be a small private family funeral. The celebration of life will be at the Nisswa Legion on December 28, 2023, from 4-8 PM.
