Madge Durm

Madge Durm, age 89, of Pine River, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011, at Golden Horizons in Crosslake. She was born January 15, 1922, in Pequot Lakes, to Alfred and Sara Hardy. She married Eddie Durm on January 21, 1940, in Brainerd.

Madge is survived by her children: Chester Durm (June), Edwin Durm (Dolores), Sara Matros (Frank), Kenneth Durm (Mavis); sisters: Blanche McArdle, Linda Havenor; brother, Loren Hardy; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 17 step great grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie; grandson, Bruce Durm; brother, Karl Hardy; and one step great-great grandchild.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

Services will be 11 AM on Saturday, February 19, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River, with Pastor Lois Hanson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
