Mabel Poul

Mabel E. Poul, age 85, of Baxter, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Edgewood Vista Memory Care in Baxter, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Pine River, Minnesota, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Pine River.

Mabel Ella Knutson was born to Christ and Elsie (Hanson) Knutson in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. Mabel attended public school Pine River where she graduated from high school. She continued her education at the Vocational School in Brainerd where she got her L.P.N. License and ended up never using it. Mabel went on to become an Insurance Agent which she enjoyed doing until her retirement. Mabel met and later married Richard Poul on May 2, 1959, in Pine River.

Mabel will be remembered for her love of music, singing, playing her guitar, accordion and the piano. She enjoyed capturing nature through the lens of a camera. In the summer months Mabel took time for her flower and vegetable gardens which kept her hands busy. Quilting and crocheting also kept Mabel’s hands busy, stitching love into each piece she created. Mabel will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish Mabel’s memory are her nieces and nephews, which she has several.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard (2025); siblings, Harry Knutson, Edwin Knutson, Nora Hoefs, Stella Davis, Gladys Rinke.
