Linda Marie Stoltenberg (Ekdahl) was born on September 4, 1958 to Orville and Donna Ekdahl in Alexandria, Minnesota. She was 1 of 6 siblings. Although most of her childhood was spent in Alexandria, Minn., she graduated in Phoenix, Arizona. Linda lived a life that was dedicated to her friends and family. Linda was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer in the earlier part of June and had a short battle with the disease. She was called home on July 9, 2025, surrounded by family.
In 1979 she married her husband, Loren Stoltenberg. Loren brought with him his daughter, Stacey. Together Loren and Linda had 2 sons, Daniel and Aaron. Over the years Linda worked as a nursing assistant, a waitress, and caregiver for her father-in-law. Later she started her own sewing business.
Over the years Linda was blessed to be able to stay at home raising her children. When the boys started school, she worked as a nursing assistant.
Linda had a true passion for fishing; it didn't matter if it was on a boat, on the ice or out on the pier. She loved Christmas and decorating for the holiday. For Linda it meant getting to spend time with family. According to her son, Aaron, she watched Christmas movies all year long. In recent years her and Loren enjoyed wintering in Texas. She enjoyed her morning cup of coffee with many friends during her time in Texas. She also enjoyed her flower gardens. Her grandchildren were her absolute greatest blessing. She enjoyed making them all pancakes when they visited. Her baking and cooking will be missed by many. Some of her most requested items include her sticky buns, porcupine meatballs and shepherd's pie. For dessert there was always a warm apple or rhubarb crisp waiting for her guests to indulge in.
Linda is survived by her husband, Loren of 46 years, her daughter Stacey (Joe) Bock of Baxter, Minnesota, sons Daniel (Amber) Stoltenberg of Princeton, MN and Aaron Stoltenberg of Kingsville, Tx. Her mother, Donna Myer, her 7 grandkids; Andria (Isaac), Zachary, Samuel, Jolie, Ellie, Lilie and Waylon.
