Linda Keppers

Linda Lou Keppers, age 83, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026. Remembered as a remarkably kind, patient, and loving woman, Linda possessed a quiet strength that guided her and her family through every season of life. Her gentle spirit, steady heart, and deep warmth left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

Born on May 2, 1943, to Harold Hare and Dora Frank, Linda was raised with abundant love on her grandparents’ farm near Boy River, Minnesota. Growing up alongside her beloved grandparents, Robert and Iva Hare, she attended church at the local Log Chapel and went to school in town, graduating from Boy River High School in 1961. Her childhood was rich with family - surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins who were far more like brothers and sisters.

After high school, Linda moved to Minneapolis to work as a nanny. It was there that she met the love of her life, Donald Keppers. The two were united in marriage on October 19, 1963, beginning a beautiful life defined by devotion, shared laughter, and deep family roots.

Above all else, Linda treasured her family. She was the proud mother of four sons: Donald "Chuck" Jr., David, Kevin (Sue), and Wayne (Serenity). She found true joy in the outdoors, loving nothing more than traveling and heading out on camping trips with her boys, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her legacy continues to bloom through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her heart.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald; her parents, Harold and Dora; her cherished grandparents, Robert and Iva; her beloved son, David; and several of her half-sibilings, Kenny, Raymond, Thomas, Almond, Stanely, Ricky and Nancy.

She is survived by her sons Donald "Chuck" Jr., Kevin, and Wayne, along with their families; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her large extended family. Coming from a wonderfully broad family tree, she leaves behind her half-siblings from her father: Ronald, Patsy, David, and Tony: and her half-sisters from her mother: Bonnie, and Kathy.

Linda’s memory will forever be held with deep love, respect, and profound gratitude by all who were blessed to know her.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Monday September 21, 2026 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples.

Burial will be at a later date at the Scandia Valley cemetery in Cushing, MN.
