Lester Anderson

Lester Anderson, 92, of Pine River, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010. He was born September 29, 1917, to Oscar and Anna Anderson in Cokato, MN. Lester served in the Naval Aircorp during World War II and attended Bethel Seminary. He pastored churches in Minnesota and Illinois. He was an avid reader, poetry writer, and supporter of conservative values and patriotic causes.
Lester is survived by his children: John Anderson (Jane), James Anderson (Lois), Joan Kling (Gary), Judith Smith, Joel Anderson, Jacqueline Heino (Chris), Joy Gray (Paul), Jerome Anderson (Tara); many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 11 siblings, and wife, Margaret.
Services will be 11 AM on Saturday, May 22, at Whitefish Community Church, Pine River.
