Leroy Invie

LeRoy Eugene Invie, age 83, of Backus, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 15, 2016. He was the son of Eugene and Marie Invie born on February 3, 1933, in Estes Brooke, MN. LeRoy served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1955. In 1953 he married Patricia L. Rasten of Minneapolis and they celebrated 63 years together. For the past 42 years he owned and operated Ada Pine Beach Resort. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia; children: Debbie Zaffke (Kendall), Eugene Invie (Pattie), Denise Invie (Ronnie), Danielle Lawrence (Steve); 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sister, LaDes Sauter.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of LeRoy's life will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 19, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
