Lelah Ione Cline Dimmick, age 101, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River. Lee was born August 10, 1915, the youngest child and only girl of Alfred and Emily Cline.
Lee graduated from Pequot Lakes High School in 1934 and married Homer Dimmick on August 30, 1938. They were married almost 70 years at the time Homer passed away. Homer and Lee settled on Lake Ossawinnamakee near Breezy Point and became one of the first Christmas tree farmers in the area. Throughout the years they planted over 85,000 Christmas trees. After retirement they traveled to Florida for 20 years and Texas for 7 years as snowbirds. Lee enjoyed the art shows and fairs that Homer participated in as a professional artist. They moved to the Villas in April 2000 and had been with Good Samaritan ever since.
Homer and Lee had no children of their own but Lee had many nieces and nephews that came to see her and also had friends all over the country who would send Christmas and birthday cards.
Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; brothers, Jack Cline and Raymond Cline.
Services will be 12 Noon on Saturday, October 29, at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Pequot Lakes Cemetery.
