Lee Allen Ferrian

Sep 18, 1966 — May 27, 2026

Maryville, TN

Lee Allen Ferrian, 59, passed away on May 26, 2026, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on May 9, 2026. Surrounded by the love of his family, Lee’s final gift was the courage and dignity he showed throughout his journey.

Born on September 18, 1966, to Vernon and Carolyn Ferrian, Lee grew up with a love for the outdoors and a deep appreciation for hard work. Throughout life he remained devoted to the people he loved most.

Lee was the proud father of two sons, Robert and Jacob, and a cherished grandfather to Grace, Jennifer, Jesica, Sofia, and Bryant. His greatest joy was sharing life’s adventures with his family, creating memories that will continue to live on through them.

From an early age, Lee loved fishing and snowmobiling, passions he later shared with his sons. In time, motorcycles became more than a hobby, they became a way of life. Living just minutes from the world-famous Tail of the Dragon on Highway 120 near Maryville, Tennessee, Lee enjoyed what many riders travel across the country to experience once a year. For Lee, the open road was always just around the corner, and he embraced everything opportunity to ride.

Lee’s character was reflected in the work he performed throughout his life. A machinist by trade and a craftsman at heart, he approached every task with precision, patience, and pride. Whether serving as a CNC lathe operator, manufacturing specialist, mold finisher, or job shop machinist, Lee earned a reputation as someone who believed quality mattered. He worked with a wide range of materials an equipment, solving complex problems and producing work that demanded exacting tolerance and attention to detail.

Those who knew Lee understood that his work ethic was not something he turned on and off, it was part of who he was. His guiding philosophy could often be summed up in a simple statement: “If you’re not gonna do it right, don’t do it at all.” He was detail-oriented, self-motivated, hardworking, and dependable. He took pride in finding solutions, organizing the task at hand, and seeing a job through to completion. His skills as a machinist reflected the same qualities that defined him as a father, grandfather, brother, friend, and neighbor: integrity, perseverance, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Before his machining career, Lee honorable served four years in the United States Army as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. He later continued his education at Hibbing Technical College in Hibbing, Minnesota, studying Microcomputer Technology. Throughout his life, he remained a creative problem solver who never stopped learning and adapting.

Lee will be remembered for his steady presence, sharp mind, strong work ethic, and love of the outdoors. He found happiness in simple pleasures; a fishing trip, a ride through the mountains, time spent with family, and the satisfaction of a job well done. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the example he set for those fortunate enough to know him.

Lee is preceded in death by his sister Karin and father Vernon. He leaves behind his sons, Robert and Jacob; his grandchildren, Grace, Jennifer, Jessica, Sofia, and Bryant; his mother Carolyn and siblings, Lorri, David, Kurt, and Jon; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Though his journey ended far too soon, the impact of his life endures in every life he touched, every lesson he shared, and every mile of road that reminded him to keep moving forward.

May he ride on in peace.
