Kathleen Fields

Kathleen Joy Fields (nee Coveney), age 86, of Crosby, MN, passed away on September 1, 2026, at the Heartwood Care Center in Crosby, MN, surrounded by her family.

Kathy was born on July 12, 1940, in Minneapolis MN to Earle and Nora Lillian Coveney nee Larson.

She married the love of her life, Charles Edward Fields, on May 2, 1959. They enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, snowmobiling and fishing with friends and family. Kathy loved photography capturing their adventures on film (yes, it was negatives and photo prints) at one point she had a dark room in her home to develop her own photos! They enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and Kathy always had a load of rocks she brought back from the southwest. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; her door was always open for them.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Earle and Lillian, husband of 59 years Charles, and her sister Maryllyn McKevitt.

She is survived by daughter Kary Montour (Tom Leino); son, Shane (Michelle) Fields, grandchildren; Jessi (Peter) Brook , Kiana Dusek (Justin Flores); Serena (Zach) Heidebrink; Zackery Fields (Josephine Cox); Great Grandchildren Laine and Kove Heidebrink; Sister Barbara Findorff along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service for Kathy will be at Brenny Funeral Chapel, Baxter, MN on Wednesday September 9th, visitation at 10am, funeral at 11am, lunch at noon.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the National Audubon Society.
