Kathleen Erickson

Kathleen Hannah Erickson, formerly of Bonita Springs, FL and Amery, WI, passed away on April 28, 2026. Kathy was born October 10, 1942, in St. Paul, MN to Dorothy Cecilia Erickson (nee Glasier) and Walter Henry Erickson. She grew up in Texas and Wisconsin. Kathy started dance lessons as a child and danced her way to a Bachelor of Fine Arts at ASU and a Masters in Dance at UCLA. She performed, taught and choreographed. Kathy enjoyed and encouraged everyone to move their body so it was no stretch for her to open Class Action Fitness Studio.

Kathy married John Alfred Erickson on April 20, 1976. They lived in the Fridley, MN area until they retired and moved to Bonita Springs, FL. Kathy was a member and past president of the Gulf Coast Garden Club. She enjoyed travel but most of all enjoyed spending time with people. She loved gatherings of friends and family, even hosting multiple family reunions. Every summer of her life Kathy returned to Lake Wapogasset in Amery, WI – the hometown of her heart. Kathy’s beautiful and playful spirit will be missed.

Kathy is preceded in death by her spouse John and her sister Patricia (Norval) Rasmussen.

She is survived by her daughter JoEllen Grau and her two sons, Jay (Rebecca Bronder) and Jon; grandchildren: Erika (David) Sapala, Christian (Makenzi) Grau, William (Bailey Stinski) Erickson, Bridget (Jaron Reif) Erickson and great-grandson Dominic Sapala.

A memorial service is planned for this summer in Amery, WI
