Juliette "Ginger" Henley

Juliette (Weiss) Henley “Ginger”, 94, of Brainerd Minnesota and formerly from Port Aransas, Texas passed away peacefully on September 7, 2023. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 11 AM at the Brenny family funeral home in Baxter, Mn.  There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service and luncheon will be served following the service.

Juliette was born to Peter and Magdalena “Millner” Weiss on June 24, 1929, in Lastrup Minnesota. She left Lastrup in 1949 to look for work in the Twin Cities before moving to Texas in 1951 with her husband John Hulme. Ginger enjoyed fishing and was inducted into the Port Aransas Boatman’s Hall of Fame making her the first woman to achieve this. Ginger was well known and loved by all in Port Aransas Texas and moved back to Minnesota in 2021 to be closer to family.

She is survived by her sisters Joanne Faust (Pat) and Corrine Murray, Sisters-in-Law Joyce Weiss and Lorraine Thoms, many nieces and nephews, and her dear friends from Port Aransas, Texas.

Ginger is preceded in death by her husband’s John Hulme and Harold Henley, her siblings Alvina, Wilfred, Clarence, and Leon.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel Baxter.
