Julie Marie Good, 60, passed away on September 6, 2026, in Crosslake, Minnesota, surrounded by her children and family.
Julie was born on May 23, 1966, in Aberdeen, Maryland, to Merle and Linda (Peterson) Good. She spent much of her childhood in Boise, Idaho, before moving with her family to Wyoming in 1979, where she spent her high school years. Wyoming, particularly the Sheridan area, remained a place she loved dearly throughout her life.
Julie was funny, kind, and compassionate, qualities that shone through in every part of her life, especially in her work as a teacher. She had a special ability to connect with her students, whom she lovingly referred to as “her kids.” She found her calling at Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Faribault, Minnesota, where she thrived and formed meaningful relationships with her students, their families, and her fellow staff members.
Above all, Julie loved her family and her faith. Her relationship with God was the foundation of her life and guided her through every season. Her children and granddaughter held a special place in her heart, and the love she had for them was woven into so much of who she was. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether it was a good cup of coffee, traveling to places she loved, sharing a laugh, or spending time with the people who meant the most to her.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Linda (Peterson) Good. She is survived by her children, Gabrielle, Charlotte, and Cyrus; her granddaughter, Riley; her son-in-law, Jio; her sister, Jenny; and her nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her deeply and will miss her dearly.
Julie’s life will be remembered in the family she cherished, the students she encouraged, the friendships she nurtured, the laughter she shared, and the kindness she gave so freely.
Though she will be deeply missed, those who loved Julie find comfort in the faith that sustained her throughout her life and in knowing that she is now home with the Lord.
