Judy Larson

Judy A. Larson, 69, of Fifty Lakes, died at her home Thursday, September 29, 2011. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. A luncheon will follow at the Fifty Lakes Foundation in Fifty Lakes starting at 3:00 PM.

Judy was born April 24, 1942, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Dale and Thelma (Johnson) Eakins. Following her graduation from Wilson High School in St. Paul, Judy was united in marriage to Jerry Larson. The family moved to the Fifty Lakes Area in 1973. Judy helped in the construction of their home. She worked on many details - from the ground on up. She was an active member of the Helping Hands Club in Fifty Lakes. Her family describes her as a "homemaker PLUS". She took pride living up to the title, especially when she was being crafty or baking. In 1978, Judy was injured in an auto accident that presented many challenges she and her family conquered together. Jerry took up auto-racing for a time and while Judy enjoyed watching, she was definitely one of the pit crew.

Judy will be missed by her husband of 51 years, Jerry; daughters, Jeanne (Mark) Bradley and Jodie (Fred) Schrupp; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and both brothers.
