Josephine Wippler

Josephine Anne Wippler, age 91 years, 10 months, and 24 days, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus, her savior, fittingly on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2018.

Born to Joseph and Helen (Simones) Schmidt on June 19, 1926 on the family farm in Morrison County, Josephine married Albert Wippler in 1946 at St. James Catholic Church in Randall. The couple made their home in Darling Township and lived there their entire married life. JoAnn worked for Sears Roebuck for 25 years. She was a lifelong member of Christian Mothers and VFW Auxiliary.

JoAnn had an early love for the Lord and she spend her entire life seeking Him with all her heart. She was a wonderful seamstress, cook, and baker. She passed these gifts on to her five daughters.

She will be missed and is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Seals, of Hale, MO, Jean (friend, Phil Nieson) Bukosky, of Randall, Donna (Bud) Wolch, of Little Falls, Rebecca Johnson, of Proctor, and Mary (Brad) Neururer, of Federal Dam; son, Steven (Vivian) Wippler, of Gulf Breeze, FL; siblings, Margaret Jorgensen, Helen Andres, Mary Donnely, and Bernadine Schmidt; daughter-in-law, Diane Wippler; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren (with one on the way). She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; parents, Joe and Helen; brothers, William and Eugene Schmidt; son, Patrick; and sons-in-law, Dale Seals and Richard Johnson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 St. James Catholic Church in Randall. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at St. James Parish Cemetery.
