John Vogt

John Vogt, 60, of Brainerd, MN, passed away on Friday November 19, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday November 26, 2021 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN at 11:00 AM with  visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at a later date at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd.

He was born on February 21, 1961 to Glen and Virginia (Thiede) Vogt. John married Renae Borders in 1997, and they had 24 happy years together. He worked as an Armored Car Courier for Granite City for 23 years. John enjoyed spending time with his family,  cherished his grandchildren and spoiling them so much! He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing bingo, tinkering in the garage, he could fix almost anything.

John was a loyal member of the Brainerd Eagles club for 42 years. He has held all officer positions at aerie #287, was a past worthy district 3 president, and currently was a MN state outside Guard. More than one member has said John was the rock of Aerie #287.

John is survived by his wife, Renae, children, Melissa (Tim) Eid, Stefani Bourassa, Michael (Kayla) Vogt, Brandon (Jessica) Vogt, and Amber (Wade) Wink, 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one on the way, his siblings, Anna Vogt, Donna Mulholland, Jeff (Diane) Vogt, Jill (John) Johnson, Sherry Vogt, Paula (Kelly) Kohl, many nieces and nephews, brother in-laws and sister in-laws.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rachel Bourassa, granddaughter Breanna Cantu, Mother in-law Elaine Borders, Father in-law Buster Borders, and brother in-law Larry Mulholland.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
