John Benson

John "Ed" Benson, 75, of Lake Shore died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at his home.

Ed was born on June 16, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Gottfred and Martha (Swanson) Benson. He married Edda on October 19, 1990 at Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Ed was a Sr. Design Engineer at Motorola for over thirty-nine years. He found great enjoyment in sailing.

Ed is survived by his wife, Edda, daughter, Laura Benson; step-daughter, Martina (Dan) Robertson; sisters, Arlene (Richard) Harwood and Susan (Henry) Weirich and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Mumford and his parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
