JoAnne Tverberg

Joanne Mae Tverberg, age 85, of Breezy Point, MN, passed away October 6, 2026, at Crosby Regional Medical Center.

She was born on May 31, 1941, in Cyrus, MN, to Guy and Olive Erlandson. She married Richard Tverberg on April 16, 1960, in Minneapolis, MN. Together they had six children.

She worked several different jobs over the years, but most of them included housekeeping. After moving to Breezy Point, MN, she worked at Breezy Point Resort as a housekeeper and retired from there at the age of 65.

She loved to go to the resort on Saturday nights and watch Elvis (Chris Olson) sing. She loved to dance. She was so excited when Elvis and her danced together. She had a great spirit and was a funny person with lots of jokes. Everyone who met her loved her and became friends. She stood up for herself and would put you or anyone right in their place if she needed to. She was a strong woman.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Olive Erlandson; husband, Richard; sons, Ricky and Jeff; brothers, Artie and Dennis; and sisters, Jeannie and Rosie.

She will be missed by her children, Cindy (John) of Breezy Point, Lori of Baxter, Luanne (Dave) of Crosslake, and Penny (Roger) of Hibbing; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 12pm on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes. Visitation will being one hour prior.
