Joanne Ruth Pickar (April 28, 1944 – September 17, 2025)

Joanne Ruth Pickar, Christian, Wife, Mom, Grandma and Friend passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on April 28, 1944, Joanne lived a life full of strength in the face of adversity, giving and kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Joanne never met a stranger, she had the incredible ability to make connections with anyone anywhere. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories.

She is survived by her son Kyle Daughter in law Linda, her three grandchildren Keith(Emily), Brady and Alexis. One soon to be great granddaughter Keaton Joanne. As well as step children Teresa(Bud) and Jared(Christina), step grandson Levi(Veronica) and step great grandkids Ariana and Silas, and finally a massive circle of friends who were touched by her generosity and spirit. Joanne’s life was a testament to the power of kindness, and her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her husband Grant Pickar, her son Keith, Mom and Dad, Joseph and Ruth Novak 3 brothers Ward, Wencel, Wally.

A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Tuesday September 23rd at 11am.

Rest in peace, dear Joanne—you will be deeply missed.
