Jay Carter

  Jay Patrick Carter, age 69, of Baxter, MN passed away September 1, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.   Jay was born March 17, 1954, to Edgar and Norma Carter.   Married Rita Fritsch on January 17, 1976.   They had two children, Ross and Rebecca.  

  Jay was a devoted fireman for 30+ years and retired as Assistant Chief in 2007 in Sandwich, IL.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, winter sports and being in nature.

  Jay was a fix-it guy.   If it was broke, he could fix it no matter what it was.

He is survived by his wife Rita, Son Ross, Daughter Rebecca, Son-in-Law Marcus, and Grandson Riley.

We will all miss him.
