Janice Gillmor

Janice Gillmor, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on February 7, 2026, in Nisswa, Minnesota.

Janice was born on June 7, 1943, in Cloquet, Minnesota, to her loving parents, who preceded her in death. She carried a strong work ethic and deep sense of purpose throughout her life, especially in her career, which meant so much to her. Janice worked for many years as a paralegal in Duluth, Minnesota, where she built lasting professional relationships and took great pride in her work. After moving to the Lakes Area, she continued her dedication to service as a fraud investigator for Crow Wing County until her retirement.

While she was deeply committed to her career, Janice’s favorite place to be was always at home. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life — tending to her garden in the summertime, watching things grow under her care, and creating a peaceful space around her. More than anything, she treasured time spent with her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved them deeply.

Janice will be greatly missed by her three children, her grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and the friends who knew and loved her.

Honoring her wishes, Janice will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home — the place she loved most — on June 7, 2026, at 23944 Summer Haven Lane, Nisswa, Minnesota.

Her warmth, strength, and quiet dedication to both her work and her family will be remembered always.
