James Reece Jr.

James Garland Reece Jr., 61, of Motley, passed away on April 3, 2026. He was born on March 1, 1965, in Corbin, Kentucky, to James and Nelda (Richmond) Reece.

James worked as a spray foam technician, a job he took pride in through his hard work and dedication. Outside of work, enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, woodworking, and spending time working on cars. These passions brought him both peace and fulfillment throughout his life.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Brian, Jimmy, Billy, Ashley, and Wade; and his beloved grandchildren, Braxton, Amelia, Elijah, Kiley, Ethan, Riley, JJ, Eva, Isiah, Mason and AIden. He is also survived by his sister, Diana Jones.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James Reece Sr. and Nelda Reece; and his sisters, Debra Ruth Gentry and Sheila A. Hart.

He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love for the outdoors, and the time he cherished with his family.
