James "Jim" Davis

James “Jim” Lonn Davis, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2026. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00–4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minnesota.

Jim was born on September 23, 1971, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Mike Davis and Molly Mega. He graduated from Princeton High School before continuing his education at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He went on to attend Northwestern School of Chiropractic, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Following graduation, Jim moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area, where he established his chiropractic practice. His work was more than a career—it was an extension of who Jim was. He genuinely cared about people and had a passion for helping others in whatever way he could. Throughout his years in practice, he formed meaningful connections with the many people he had the privilege of meeting and serving.

Jim married Heather in 2000, and together they welcomed two sons, Jonah and Cullen. Although Jim and Heather later divorced, his love for his children remained at the center of his life. Jonah and Cullen were his entire world, and being their dad was his greatest joy. Jim enjoyed spending time with family, playing golf, and, perhaps most of all, connecting with people.

Jim will be deeply missed by his sons, Jonah Davis and Cullen Davis; his mother, Molly (Eldon) Lee; his brother, Jason Davis (Tessa Roberts); his niece, Raven (Jaden) Biley; former spouse, Heather Davis; and partner, Laura Rozinka.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jim’s memory to Smiles for Jake, Brainerd Public Schools Foundation, or the Brainerd VFW. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
