Irene Olson

Irene Olson, 89, of Staples, MN passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Irene was born June 26, 1928 in Wyoming, MN to Clarence and Anna (Reichel) Olson. She was raised on a farm, West of Staples and lived in Staples all of her life. Irene worked at Munsingwear for many years. She took care of her parents until they passed away. Irene enjoyed baking, playing the harmonica, gardening, quilting, and her dog, Skippy.

Irene is survived by her brother, Jim Olson of Staples; sister, Margie Miller of Atkins, IA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Anna; sister in law, Daneen Olson and brother in law, Eldon Miller. Services have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
