Irene Kitzmann

Irene Kitzmann, age 85, of Hackensack, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Birchview Gardens in Hackensack. She was born April 11, 1927, in Davenport, Iowa, to Julius and Emma Kiefer. Irene enjoyed artwork, drawing, gardening and flowers.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Kitzmann (Debra) of Backus; sister, Sally Duncan of Iowa; grandchildren, Joshua Kitzmann (Sara), Jacob Kitzmann (Brittney); great grandchildren, Isabella, Grace, Ayla and Page Kitzmann.

Her parents; husband, Eugene; son, Michael; and brother, Julius Kiefer, Jr., preceded her in death.

Services will be 2 PM on Thursday, January 17, at Lakeside Baptist Church in Backus with Pastor Jeff Broom officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Backus. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
