Helen Heino

Helen Helena Heino, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Woodland Good Samaritan, Brainerd, MN on Dec. 12, 2016. Helen was born West of Pequot Lakes to Steve and Sophie Vargo on Nov. 12, 1922. She graduated from Pine River High School, class of 1941. She married Leo Heino July 2, 1941 and to this union they had one daughter, Beverly.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Beverly and husband Ken; grandchildren, Jeff Ganske; and Julie Felten (Cameron); five great grandchildren: Josh (Jill) Ganske, Erica Coe (Bryan), Aaron Felten (Lucy), Adam Felten (Kristine) and Emily Felten; nine great-great grandchildren: Andra Helen, Lynnea, Callia, Kyle, Aubrey, Callahan, Ezra, Carsyn and Cohen; and one brother, Frankie Vargo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; and her precious little great-great grandson, Lucas Paul Coe; two sisters; and four brothers. Great-great grandma Helen and Lucas Paul Coe will be spending Christmas together in heaven this year.


A celebration of Helen's life will be 11 AM Saturday, December 17 at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship, at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, immediately following the service.

Inurnment will be in Our Savior's Cemetery, Pequot Lakes, Spring 2017.
