Goldie Belle Bliss Dunn beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother left with Jesus on July 11, 2025.
Goldie Bliss was the 12th and final child born to Pearley and Goldie Bliss of Pennington, MN on August 17, 1936. Goldie had a happy childhood growing up in Pennington until she met the love of her life, William F. Dunn. They were married on September 4, 1954 and started their life together in Tenstrike, MN. Bill and Goldie had 3 children: Renee, Brian, and Nancy. The joy of their lives.
In 1967, the family moved to Pequot Lakes for Bill’s job with the Northern Pacific Railroad. They resided in Pequot Lakes the rest of their lives.
Goldie graduated from the Brainerd Lakes Technical College with a nursing degree. She was employed at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Pine River until her retirement in 2002.
Goldie will be dearly missed by her children: Renee (Ray) Groshong and Brian (Marybeth) Dunn.
Her “favorite” grandchildren: Shawn Knutson, Shannon (Rob) Knutson, Abby Dunn, Nick Dunn, Anna Dunn, Holly (Dennis) Sanson, Peggy Sexton, Tim Sexton, and twin brother Mike (Jessica) Sexton.
Great-grandchildren: Tyler, Tanner, Riley, Tj, Audrey, Michael, Colter, Domanic, Clara, Blake & Bradley
She was also survived by her dear cousin, John Hartman, and two living sister-in-law’s: Violet Dunn and Margie Dunn. Along with many, many well-loved nieces and nephews.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, her beloved daughter Nancy, Nancy’s lifelong husband Gary Sexton, all 11 of Goldie’s Siblings, all of Bill’s Family, her best friend & next-door neighbor Doty Bruggerman.
The family wants to especially thank all the wonderful caregivers at the Shiloh Assisted Living, where Goldie resided for the past 1 ½ years.
The funeral will be held at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, in Pequot lakes on Friday, July 25, at 2:00 PM. Light lunch following the service. All are welcome.
