Geraldine Marie Ott, 85, of Motley, passed away on August 8, 2025, at the Harmony House in Motley while under Moments Hospice Care, with her brother David and daughter Gina holding her hand, along with Henry, Kati and Dominique close by.

Gerry was born on October 14, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Frederich and Dorothy (Hindt) Widhalm. She married the love of her life, Roland Ott, and together they built a life filled with love and hard work. Gerry worked at El-Ray Café, and later Mr. Ed’s restaurant all her life, where she shared her warm heart and delicious meals with many over the years.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina (Henry) Kuechle; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Eric Kuechle with daughter Breanna (Milton) and great great grandbaby Lila, Jesse Kuechle with children Trevor, Trenton and Lucy, Jason Kuechle with Dominique and children Marie and Aiden, Matthew Kuechle with children Josie and Hayes, Kati Westberg with Jesse and children Kolt, Bryson and Cora. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, her parents, her brother Robert, and two nephews Butch and Ron.

Services will be held on Friday, August 15th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Motley starting at 12pm. Visitation will be held from 9am – 11am.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
