Gerald 'Jerry' Blahosky

Gerald Blahosky, age 85, passed away in Brainerd on July 20, 2022. A memorial service for Gerald will be held on Saturday July 23, 2022, at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter. There will be a visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00am, and the service will begin at 11:00am. There will be a luncheon and fellowship following the service.

Jerry was born on February 22, 1937, to Clarence and Bulah (Johnson) Blahosky in Staples, MN. He married Ramona (Bremer) on January 18, 1958, and together they had six children. He worked for the railroad for 42 years.

Jerry loved spending time fishing on a peaceful, quiet lake, or in the woods waiting for the ‘big one’ to come along. He was known for his catchy tunes on the harmonica, he frequently tried his luck at Poker at the Casino and loved to be challenged to a good game of cribbage or p-knuckle. Jerry was a wonderful father and will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ramona, his children, Bart Blahosky, Scott (Liz) Blahosky, Kelly Pitcher, Jodi (Mark) Lee, Lisa (Armando) Blahosky-Olivarez, and Shawn (Heather) Blahosky, 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and his sister, Shirley Johnson.

Jerry is preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas, his siblings LeRoy Blahosky, Clarence Blahosky Jr, Sharon Holder, and his parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
