Franklin Cerney

Franklin Delano Cerney, 85, of Staples passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 13, 2023.

Franklin was passionate about his work but mostly so his customers, whom he viewed as friends, had everything they needed. That excellent customer service was a driving force in everything he did. Franklin loved spending time with his family and was deeply proud of everything they did. He valued time together watching sports, playing cards and talking about life. Square dancing was a hobby he picked up and had so much fun getting his “steps in” with a fun group of people.  Florida also became a destination he loved when it got too cold in Minnesota.

A visitation will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Saturday October 21 starting at 10 am with a funeral at 11 am. Lunch will be served after.

Franklin is survived by his sons, Del (Lisa) Cerney and Jon Cerney; two granddaughters, Alicia and Madison Cerney, customers, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Franklin was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
