Francis "Frank" Vargo

Francis 'Frank' Edward Vargo, age 91, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at home. He was born Nov. 27, 1928 to Stephen and Sophia (Bottary) Vargo in Pine River, Minn.

Frank married the love of his life, Irene Dibble, on June 10, 1950. They lived and farmed in rural Pequot Lakes and were blessed with seven children. In June they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Frank is survived by his wife, Irene; children: Gloria Benzie of Pillager, Vicki (Bruce) Heuer of Bloomington, Dale (Connie) Vargo of Pequot Lakes, Kevin (Wendy) Vargo of Pequot Lakes, Scott of Pequot Lakes, Tamara Malan of Brainerd and Melissa Vargo of Pequot Lakes; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Johnny, Steve, Gilbert and Joe; sisters: Irene Torkleson, Emma Miller and Helen Heino.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
