Evelyn Waschek

Evelyn Edna Waschek, 86, of Park Rapids, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at her daughter's home in Menahga. Private family services will be planned at a later date.

Evelyn was born January 28, 1929, in Hanover, MN, the daughter of Richard and Mabel (Breimon) Lieder. After high school, Evelyn attended Beauty School and worked as a hair stylist. When she married Daryl Waschek in 1950, the couple started their dairy farm that they owned and operated for many years. Evelyn was a hard worker and enjoyed raising her family. She enjoyed doing crafts and was devoted to her church. Best of all, Evelyn loved her family - spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be missed and is survived by her three children, Pam (Rick) Gibbs, Lindsey Waschek, and Colleen (Bob) Barriere; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Donald and Howard. She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends.
