Eugene "Timber' J Witt Jr.

Eugene Witt Jr. (Timber) age 70 of Brainerd, passed away at home surrounded by family on May 7, 2026. After a short battle with cancer. Timber was born in Brainerd, MN on January 29, 1956, to Eugene Sr. and Marie Witt. Timber married his bride JoAnn in August 1982. Timber went on to start his own Roofing Company known as Witt's Roofing. Which made him well known and respected throughout the community.

Timber passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to those he loved most. He was an incredible husband, a proud and loving father, a cherished grandfather, and a loyal friend to so many.

Above all else, Timber treasured his family. Whether gathered around a campfire, out on the lake fishing, in the woods hunting, or simply sharing stories and laughter together, he found his greatest joy in spending time with the people he loved. His presence brought wisdom, and his caring heart, quick wit, and kindness made everyone feel welcome.

Timber had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping whenever he could. He was happiest surrounded by nature, family, and good friends. He believed in lending a helping hand and was always willing to help others without hesitation. His generosity, hardworking spirit, and caring heart touched countless lives.

He will be remembered for his strong values, his love for his family and friends, and the many memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, his love and the lessons he shared will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

Timber is survived by his daughters, Jenny and Nicole (Jeremy); his beloved grandchildren, Tommy (Ivy), Wyatt (Alexis), and Lynsie; the father of grandchildren Tom Petroske, his sister, Rose Roquette; many nieces and nephews; and countless long-time friends who became family throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, JoAnn; his parents, Eugene Sr. and Marie; his brother, Lyle; his sister, Deloris; and his grandson, Nicholas.

He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
