Emmajean Beebe

December 22, 1922 — December 20, 2020

Emmajean Cordelia Beebe, age 98, passed away on Sunday December 20, 2020 at Edgewood Senior Living in Brainerd, MN due to complications from Covid-19. No services will be held at this time.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter, MN.

Emmajean was born on December 22, 1922 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to RLee and Elsie (Coe) Pratt.  Growing up during the Great Depression, Emmajean learned to be resilient, hardworking and knew the importance of caring service to those around her.  These qualities she carried with her throughout her life and instilled in others.  While working on an orchard in Bayfield, WI she met her future husband, Leo Beebe.  The couple were married on March 14, 1942.  They shared 66 wonderful years together and raised two sons.  Emmajean and Leo moved to Fowler, IN and were very active in the community and their church.  Emmajean was known to be feisty with a witty personality and always kept busy with some activity along with volunteering.  She enjoyed spending time knitting, cooking, playing cards, delivering Meals on Wheels and picking blueberries with Leo by her side.  From her childhood, Emmajean was known to see the world as a playground where every day was an opportunity to create her own fun and to dance through it all.  Emmajean entrusted that same wonder to her family, friends and all who knew her, as she danced into eternal life.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Emmajean is survived by her sons, Kerry (Mary) Beebe of Baxter, MN, Walter (Vickie) Beebe of Dallas, TX; Sister, Frieda Triplet, brother, Norman; grandchildren, Adam (Brooke) Beebe, Nathaniel (Johanna) Beebe, Lindsey (Brad) Bridges, Ryan (Linna) Beebe, Alex Beebe; 9 greatgrandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; and 5 siblings.
