Elsie Dotzler

Elsie Elizabeth (Richards) Dotzler, age 93, passed away on November 5, 2025. She was born on May 22, 1932, in Chokio, MN to Leonard and Elsie Richards. She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1950. Elsie lived in Emily before moving to Brainerd in 1987, She worked for Samco, Scorpion, The Aitkin Turkey Plant and was known as the sample Lady at the local grocery stores in Brainerd. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Brainerd Eagles, Lifetime member of the Brainerd VFW and the Brainerd American Legion.

She is survived by her 5 children: Robert (Diane) of Finlayson, Barbara Gray of Wasilla, Alaska, Steve (Darlene) of Anchorage, Alaska, Jeff of Emily, and Marilyn (Pat) Meyer of Brainerd. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her grandson Logan Overvold, son in-law Jerry Gray, her parents, siblings Walter, Luverne, George, Ralph, Elaine, Thelma, Clifford, Wilbur, Florence, Mildred, Deloris, Bessie, Mailand and Elvera.

The family wishes to extend a sincere Thank You to Harmony House staff and St Croix Hospice for their excellent care. In accordance to her wishes, no funeral will be held. Cards of condolences may be sent to Marilyn Meyer 2509 Kermit Lane, Brainerd, MN 56401.
