Elaine Clark

Elaine Ann Clark, 80, of Bemidji, MN, passed away on May 11, 2024, in Orono, MN, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Bemidji, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will follow at the church, after which burial will be at the Farris Cemetery in Farden Township. 

Elaine was born on September 17, 1943, in Cass Lake, MN, to Albert and Marie “Toots” (Jaycox) Kolkin. She married Richard “Dick” Clark on October 28, 1961. After his passing in 1992, Elaine went back to school and then became an office manager for 4 County Oil, where she worked until her retirement.

Elaine enjoyed walks with her special dog, Baylee. She was a member of the Homemakers Club, and she loved to take to the dance floor, especially at the Bemidji Senior Center.

She is survived by her children Sheila (Mark) Dornfeld, Vicki (Mike) Borchardt, Lori Rubin, and Alan (Amy) Clark; grandchildren Alyssa Trout, Hailey Clark, Leah Borchardt, Brady Dornfeld, Matthew Rubin, Kelsey Dornfeld, Austin Rubin, and Tanner Heinlen; her sister Ada Richards; her special dog Baylee; and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved like her own.

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband Dick; her parents; sister Arvilla Wittner; and brothers Irvin Kolkin, Harold Kolkin, and Robert Kolkin.
