Edwin Gard

Edwin "Ed" Gard, age 77, of Pine River, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017. He was born June 23, 1940, in Brainerd, to Harold and Luella (White) Gard. Ed liked hunting and fishing a lot.

Ed is survived by his son, Rick Gard (Donna); daughters, Brenda Zierden (Steve), Tammy Dahlgren (Ken); five brothers; three sisters; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; fourteen in-laws; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bessie; one brother; and ten in-laws.

Services will be 2 PM on Friday, September 8, at Faith Lutheran Church, Swanburg. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Swanburg Cemetery, rural Pine River.
