Edwin Brenno

April 13, 1919 — January 5, 2011

Edwin Theodore "Eddie" Brenno, age 91, of Pine River, went home to his Lord Jesus on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Diamond Willow Advanced Assisted Living in Baxter. He was born at home in Pelican Township on April 13, 1919, to Fingar and Alene Brenno. Edwin was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes.

Edwin worked at Scot-Atwater and Ramsey companies in the Twin Cities for thirty years. After retirement, he bought a home in Pine River and resided there for over thirty years. Edwin enjoyed his family and many friends. He loved boating, bowling, lutefisk, lefse, and watching baseball and football. For many years he participated at the Backus Senior Center.

Edwin is survived by his sister, Mildred Martin (Larry), of Vancouver, WA; many nieces and nephews and their families; longtime friend, Eugene "Geno" Meier of Crosslake, and numerous other friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Clifford Brenno, Alvin Brenno, Vernon Brenno; sisters: Ida Eisner, Selma Rasmussen, Florence Mullenix and Norma Davis.

Services will be 11 AM on Saturday, January 8, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Burial will follow at Our Savior's Cemetery, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to Backus Senior Center or Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
