Duane Payne

Pvt. Duane W. Payne, 28, became missing in action when he was wounded during WWII.
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced that Pvt. Duane W. Payne was accounted for on April 1, 2026 and will now be laid to rest in Minnesota.
A visitation will be held from 10am - 12pm on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples. Burial will be held 2pm at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, September 11, 2026.
