Douglas Hale

Douglas James Hale, age 54, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Chanhassen, Minnesota, on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Doug was born on February 16, 1972, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Dennis and Charlotte (Utecht) Hale. He graduated from Little Falls Community High School with the Class of 1990 and went on to work in customer service for delivery services, including DoorDash, where he enjoyed helping others through his work.

Doug had a lifelong love of the outdoors and found great enjoyment in turkey and deer hunting. He also had a passion for restoring four-wheelers, motorsports, and embracing new technology. One of his favorite creative outlets was writing AI-generated songs, combining his imagination with modern technology in a way that reflected his unique personality.

Above all, Doug cherished his family. He was immensely proud of his daughters, Jennifer and Madisyn, and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. Some of his happiest moments were spent tossing a football with his beloved grandson, Brayleigh, creating memories that will be remembered for years to come. Doug also shared a special bond with his cats, Luna and Lio, who brought him comfort and companionship.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Hale, and his grandparents. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jennifer Hale and Madisyn Hale; his grandchildren, Brayleigh Hale and Charlotte Woodstrup; his father, Dennis Hale; his brothers, David Hale and Dale (Angela) Hale; Damian Hansmann, who was like a son to him; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will deeply miss his presence.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Randall, Minnesota.
