Doug Barchus, age 77, of Pine River, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born to Loren and Mary Barchus on Sept. 28, 1941, in Pine River. Doug was a 20-year veteran in the Army Intelligence Agency.
Doug is survived by his wife Linda; sons Kendal (Dawn) and Kent (Bonnie); grandchildren, Brittany and Breanna Barchus; brother, Raymond; sisters, Lura and Ona; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lester and Calvin; sisters: Helen Reeve, Lorrayne Reeve and Anna Mae Rickart.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Pine River Methodist Church. Visitation and fellowship will be one hour prior to the service.
